Accessibility Statement
CIQRA OÜ · Version 1.0 · Last updated: 2 October 2026
This statement explains how the CIQRA platform supports accessibility: the websites CIQRA operates itself, and the default storefront theme that Merchants use to sell online. It is published in line with the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882), Article 13(2) and Annex V.

1. What this statement covers
- CIQRA's own websites (www.ciqra.com and its pages) and the merchant dashboard used to run a store.
- The default storefront theme: the shop pages, cart, checkout and customer account that CIQRA provides to every Merchant on the platform.
Each store on the default theme also publishes its own accessibility statement at /legal/accessibility, linked from the footer of every page, with the store's name and contact details.
A Merchant is responsible for the accessibility of what it adds itself: product images and their descriptions, texts, documents, its own pages, custom code and themes it changes or installs. Under the European Accessibility Act the obligations for an e-commerce service rest on the business that offers it to consumers; microenterprises are exempt from the service requirements.
2. Standard
CIQRA aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the level referred to by the harmonised European standard EN 301 549.
3. Compliance status
The CIQRA platform is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. The known limitations are listed in Section 4.
What the default storefront theme does today:
- a "skip to content" link, a main landmark, and the page language and text direction set on every page;
- labels on every checkout and account form field, input purposes for autofill, and errors announced to assistive technology;
- a visible keyboard focus indicator with at least 3:1 contrast, which also works in high-contrast (forced-colours) mode;
- text colours that meet 4.5:1 contrast, and text-field borders that meet 3:1;
- a pause button on the home-page slideshow, and no automatic movement when the visitor asks for reduced motion;
- keyboard operation of the address panel and the product quick view, with focus kept inside them and returned on close;
- button text that stays readable whatever brand colour the Merchant chooses.
The merchant dashboard is checked automatically for accessibility errors on every change.
4. Known limitations
- Some names that assistive technology reads out for interactive controls in the storefront (for example quantity buttons and the telephone country-code picker) are in English, whatever the language of the store.
- At checkout, the choice of delivery method does not yet tell screen readers which option is selected, and the instalment details dialog does not yet keep keyboard focus inside it.
- The storefront has been checked with automated tools and by a review of its code. It has not yet been tested by people using screen readers. This is a declared deviation, recorded on 2 October 2026.
- Content a Merchant adds itself may not meet these requirements (Section 1).
CIQRA works on these limitations and updates this statement when one is resolved.
5. Feedback and contact
If you meet a barrier on a CIQRA website or on the default storefront theme, or need information in an accessible format, write to info@ciqra.com and describe the page and the problem. CIQRA replies within 14 days. For a barrier in a particular store's own content, contact that store through its contact page; the store's accessibility statement says how.
6. Enforcement
If you are not satisfied with the reply, you can contact the authority responsible for the accessibility of products and services. In Estonia this is the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (Tarbijakaitse ja Tehnilise Järelevalve Amet, TTJA). Consumers in another EU Member State can also contact the market surveillance authority designated in their country under the European Accessibility Act.
7. Preparation of this statement
This statement was prepared on 2 October 2026 from automated checks of the storefront and the dashboard and a review of the storefront code by CIQRA. It is reviewed at least once a year and whenever the default storefront theme changes in a way that affects accessibility.
